Blood Donation Campaign

The Office of Community Engagement is pleased to announce the launch of the blood donation campaign on Monday, October 16, 2023, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at J2 – Block B – Male Section (outdoor). 

Be the reason for someone’s heartbeat. Donating blood is a noble cause and a generous act of saving lives. Moreover, it has benefits for your physical health, such as lowering the risk of heart diseases.

Please note that blood donors need to register at J2 – Block B – Male Section (Indoor) and wait inside to prevent heat exhaustion.

 We look forward to your participation!

Blood Donation Eligibility Criteria:

1. You must be in good health condition.

2. You must be between 18 and 65 years old.

3. You must weigh at least 55 kg.

4. Your blood pressure must be between 60/100 and 100/180 (mm Hg).

5. Your pulse rate must be between 50 and 100 pulses/minute.

6. Your body temperature must not exceed 37°C.

7. It is not advisable to donate blood during pregnancy or breast-feeding.

8. You will not be eligible if you have travelled within the past 3 months to areas where malaria is endemic (e.g. India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, East Asia, and some African countries).

If you meet the above criteria and wish to participate in this campaign, please review the attached documents carefully and bring the filled-out application form along with your Emirates ID.
