Mangrove Planting and Golf Club Tour - 20 Feb 2024

Dear AU Community Members,

We are delighted to invite you to participate in the Mangrove Planting and Golf Tour activity at Al Zorah Golf Club, Ajman. This exciting initiative aims to actively support the UAE's ambitious goal of planting 100 million mangroves by 2030 to tackle climate change and save our ecosystems. The Emirate of Ajman has pledged to plant one million mangrove trees as part of the national efforts by 2030.

By participating in this activity, you'll actively contribute to restoring and preserving vital mangrove ecosystems, leaving a lasting positive impact on the environment natural ecosystems and biodiversity, creating a greener future for generations to come and contributing to our biodiversity targets as a Nature Positive University with the University of Oxford and UNEP.

Join us in this hands-on mangrove planting adventure that will empower you to become positive agents of change while immersing in the astonishing green scenery and vibrant marine life, and leave with a heightened sense of environmental stewardship, community outreach and social responsibility.
